Dr Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles, will visit Mauritius as Guest of Honour for the country’s Independence celebrations.
The visit will coincide with events marking the 58th anniversary of Mauritius’ Independence on 12 March 2026.
The information was reported by the Sunday Times, a local weekly newspaper in Mauritius that covers national and community news across the island.
According to the report, Dr Herminie has accepted an invitation from the Mauritian Prime Minister. He is expected to join the Mauritian government and the public during the official celebrations.
The visit will form part of the programme linked to the national anniversary.
