The Seychelles Police Force has recorded its 14th fatal road accident of the year, two days before the New Year.
The victim is a 62-year-old woman from La Retraite.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 30 December 2025, at St Louis, Dan Koko.
Police said a private bus travelling towards Victoria hit a wall, which caused the vehicle to veer off the road.
As a result, the woman became trapped inside the bus.
Police said the Agency for Fire and Rescue Services was called to assist in removing the victim. However, a pathologist later certified her dead at the scene.
Authorities were alerted to the incident at around 3:32am.
Meanwhile, police have launched a formal investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
