Aeroflot will suspend flights to Seychelles after 13 May 2026, according to a notice circulated by the Seychelles Airports Authority. An email titled “Updated Information for Aeroflot Flights” stated that Aeroflot flight SU 244/5 would stop operating after Wednesday 13 May 2026.

The message said flights would resume on Saturday 26 September 2026. According to the notice, the airline will operate two flights per week when services restart. The flights are scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The notice also listed the scheduled arrival and departure time as “1125 / 1320 LT”.

In the email, Seychelles Airports Authority Senior Airport Coordinator Eric Frost wrote: “Please share with your teams.”

The communication was circulated under the letterhead of the Seychelles Airports Authority and included contact details for the organisation.

The latest development comes weeks after discussions between Seychelles officials and Russian officials. These discussions took place during president Herminie’s official state visit to Russia in April 2026.

According to information released following the visit, discussions focused on strengthening areas of cooperation. This includes ongoing negotiations with Aeroflot to establish year-round direct flights to Seychelles instead of seasonal operations.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of direct air links. This comes at a time when there are limited connecting flights through the Middle East.
