The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Mr Antoine Denousse as Acting Commissioner of Prisons, effective immediately. He replaces Mrs Janet Georges, who has been reassigned to the Seychelles Police Force.
Mrs Georges was appointed Commissioner of the Seychelles Prison Service on 23 July 2024, becoming the first woman to hold the position.In a statement, the Office of the President expressed its “sincere appreciation to Mrs Georges for her distinguished service and unwavering dedication to the Seychelles Prison Service.” It also extended its congratulations to Mr Denousse and wished him success in his new role.
The government says it remains committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational performance within the Seychelles Prison Service.
