
President Dr Patrick Herminie has appointed Mrs Roma Edmond as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Social Protection (ASP). Mrs Edmond holds a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from the University of Bolton in the United Kingdom and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management and Leadership from the National University of Ireland.
She has 24 years of experience across auditing, marketing, the National Assembly and administration. Between November 2016 and April 2021, she served as the Deputy CEO of the Agency for Social Protection and undertook the role of acting CEO from 15 September to 30 November 2020.
Before her appointment, Mrs Edmond was the Director for Administration at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment. Her appointment follows the resignation of Ms Brenda Morin and Ms Tracy Tirant, who previously held the positions of CEO and Deputy CEO of the agency.
Mrs Edmond’s appointment as CEO of the Agency for Social Protection takes effect from 17 November 2025.
