A 15-year-old athlete with Seychellois roots, Caleb Jordan Hill, says he hopes to use athletics as a pathway to higher education and professional sport in the United States.

Hill, who lives in Tampa, Florida, attends George S. Middleton High School. He competes in football and track and field.

Hill said he developed an interest in athletics during his freshman year of high school.

“I’ve been playing both Football and Running Track for my high school ever since,” he said.

Moreover, Hill recently received the Threasa Manuel award for his “performance, drive, and dedication” during the 2025–26 track and field season.

However, he said he still has more goals to achieve.

“I can’t call myself the best yet because I have so many things to accomplish before I can,” Hill said. “This is just the beginning for me.”

He also said athletics could help him attend top universities in the United States.

In addition, Hill said he would welcome the opportunity to represent Seychelles in athletics in the future.

“Seychelles is where I come from and will always be a part of me,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hill credited his support system for helping him progress in sport.

“My biggest supporter isn’t just one person,” he said. “It’s the collection of people, including my family, friends, and role models.”

Looking ahead, Hill said he hopes to compete at college level and eventually reach professional sport, including the NFL or the Olympics.
