A beach clean-up was held at Anse Bazarka Beach on Saturday 17th, hosted by Seychelles Breweries through its Slow Turtle brand, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection.

The activity focused on removing waste from the shoreline and protecting sensitive coastal areas. At the same time, it aimed to promote responsible environmental practices.

The clean-up was organised in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles (MCSS). Volunteers and supporting partners also took part, including the Seychelles Agricultural Agency and Reliance Brokers.

Anse Bazarka is recognised as an important conservation site. It is a nesting area for critically endangered hawksbill sea turtles and endangered green sea turtles. Therefore, conservation groups say protecting the beach is vital for marine biodiversity.

During the clean-up, participants cleared debris from the beach. They also planted trees and marked turtle nesting zones. These actions addressed immediate environmental concerns while supporting longer-term conservation goals.

MCSS provided guidance throughout the exercise. The organisation ensured all activities followed conservation standards, particularly in sensitive nesting areas.

Seychelles Breweries said the initiative reflects its continued commitment, through the Slow Turtle brand, to supporting efforts that protect coastlines and marine ecosystems across Seychelles.
