The Office of the President announced several senior appointments on Friday 22 May.
Three appointed Deputy Police Commissioners

Mr Ned Wirtz, Mr Ron Bonnelame and Dr Jemmy Bouzin were appointed Deputy Commissioners of Police.
The appointments took effect on 21 May 2026.
Mr Wirtz has nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement and public service.
He previously served in several senior police roles, including Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Mr Bonnelame has more than 25 years of international law enforcement and security experience.
He previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Police between 2021 and 2022.
Dr Bouzin has experience in forensic science and policing.
He previously led the Forensic Unit and Specialised Services within the Seychelles Police Force.
New Air Seychelles board appointed

The Office of the President also announced a new Air Seychelles board.
Captain Francois Jackson was re-appointed Chairperson.
Mr Jean Laporte was appointed Vice-Chairperson.
Other board members are Irene Croisée, Nathanielle Soomery, Daphne Hoareau, Bernadette Willemin, Georgette Capricieuse, Richard Young and Doreen Zelia.
Captain Sandy Benoiton will serve as CEO and ex-officio member.
The appointments took effect on 1 May 2026 and will run for three years.
The President also thanked outgoing board members for their service.
Vesna Rakić appointed Tourism Board CEO

Ms Vesna Rakić was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board.
Her appointment took effect on 15 May 2026.
Ms Rakić has more than 30 years of experience in the tourism sector.
She previously worked in destination marketing, tourism development and hospitality operations.
The Office of the President said she will lead efforts to strengthen Seychelles’ tourism sector.
