
President Patrick Herminie has appointed Didier Dogley as the new chairman of the Island Development Company (IDC), starting October 29, 2025.
Mr. Dogley, a former government minister, has many years of experience in environmental protection, sustainable development, tourism, and climate change. He previously served as Minister for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (2015–2018) and Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine (2018–2020).
According to a statement from State House, Mr. Dogley will help guide the IDC in promoting sustainable development of Seychelles’ outer islands, ensuring a balance between economic growth and environmental care.
Mr. Dogley has served on the IDC board before. His new appointment follows the resignation of the previous chairman, Mr. Naadir Hassan.
