
The Seychelles government has issued an advisory for Seychellois nationals in the Middle East and those considering travel to the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora issued the advisory through the Seychelles Embassy in Abu Dhabi on 24 April 2026.
The ministry said the immediate security situation has stabilised following the announcement of a ceasefire.
“The immediate security situation has stabilised, although conditions across the region remain subject to change,” the ministry said.
The ministry said nationals should remain attentive to their surroundings. It said they should continue exercising appropriate caution.
“Nationals are encouraged to remain attentive to their surroundings and to continue exercising appropriate caution,” the statement said.
The advisory instructs nationals to follow updates from official and reliable sources. It also instructs them to follow guidance from local authorities.
It states that nationals should ensure preparedness. It says they should keep both physical and digital copies of important documents, including passports, visas, and identification. It also says they should remain aware of available travel options.
The ministry advises caution when considering non-essential travel to the Middle East.
The advisory instructs nationals to remain in contact with the Seychelles Embassy in Abu Dhabi. It says they should share copies of their passports, provide updated contact details, and indicate their current location. It also says they should inform the embassy of any travel or relocation plans.
The Seychelles Embassy in Abu Dhabi remains available to assist nationals.The ministry said it will continue to monitor developments. It said it will provide updates where necessary.
The government expressed appreciation to authorities across the Middle East. It thanked them for efforts to maintain safety and security for residents, including foreign nationals.
