
The Office of the President says Seychelles President working visits to Russia and Abu Dhabi will take place this weekend. It confirms that Dr Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles, will travel first to the Russia, followed by a visit to Abu Dhabi.
According to the Office of the President, the visits aim to reinforce bilateral cooperation. They also seek to advance Seychelles’ engagement with key partners. Discussions will focus on tourism, investment, and transport connectivity. In addition, talks will cover air connectivity and food security. These areas support economic resilience and sustainable development.
“The visits aim to reinforce bilateral cooperation and advance Seychelles’ strategic engagement with key partners,” the Office of the President said.
It added that:
“discussions will focus on tourism, investment, and transport connectivity, as well as priority areas such as air connectivity and food security, in support of economic resilience and sustainable development.”
President Herminie will travel with a delegation of ministers and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora. The Office of the President says this reflects a coordinated approach to external relations.
Furthermore, the Office states that the visits show Seychelles’ commitment to balanced international engagement in the national interest.
During the President’s absence, duties will be carried out by Sebastien Pillay, the Office confirms.
