
The Seychelles Defence Forces took part in DIMDEX 2026, the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference, held in Doha from 19 to 22 January.
The Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Brigadier Jean Attala, led the delegation. He was accompanied by four SDF officers.
During the visit, the delegation held engagements and discussions with defence partners and industry representatives. The meetings focused on reinforcing existing cooperation and exploring future opportunities.
DIMDEX 2026 was hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The event took place in Doha.
The exhibition brought together international decision-makers and defence industry leaders. It was held under the theme, “A Global Hub for Defence Innovations: Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow.”
According to the Seychelles Defence Forces, participation in the exhibition reflects its continued commitment to international engagement. It also supports efforts to develop capabilities and strengthen strategic partnerships in a changing global security environment.
