The Cancer Concern Association (CCA) has elected a new executive committee to serve a three-year mandate following its Annual General Meeting held on 29 November 2025.
Dinaz van der Lans was re-elected as chairperson. She has led the association since September 2022, following previous chairpersons Peggy Vidot, who served from February 2020 to September 2022, and Bishop French Chang-Him, who led the organisation from its founding in 2000 until 2020.
Joining Ms van der Lans on the new executive team are Gina Laporte as vice-chair, Lindsey Maringo as secretary and Caroline Abel as treasurer. The ordinary members elected are Rosie Morel, Maggie Bristol, Kate Carolus, Jean Luc Rose, June Jean and Judy Sinon.
The AGM took place on Saturday from 8:30am to 12:30pm at Maison Formation in Mont Fleuri. Members reviewed the association’s activities and confirmed the new leadership for the 2025–2028 term.
The Cancer Concern Association, founded on 14 February 2000, provides support and advocacy for individuals affected by cancer. The newly elected committee will guide its work over the coming three years.
